Wide receiver Tremaine Jackson of Florida State turned heads on Tuesday when he clocked an unofficial 4.22-second forty-yard dash at his pro day, which would be the fastest time ever recorded at the NFL Scouting Combine or any pro day event. Multiple scouts confirmed the time with their own stopwatches.
Jackson, who caught 78 passes for 1,340 yards and 14 touchdowns last season, also posted a 42-inch vertical leap and ran a 6.48-second three-cone drill. NFL Network analyst Daniel Jeremiah called it 'the most impressive individual workout I've ever seen from a wide receiver.'
Draft analysts now project Jackson to be selected in the top 10 of the upcoming NFL Draft, with several wide receiver-needy teams reportedly moving him to the top of their boards following the workout.
