The NBA Rookie of the Year race has essentially become a two-player contest between Atlanta's Zaccharie Risacher and Washington's Alex Sarr, both delivering exceptional campaigns in their debut seasons.
Risacher is averaging 18.4 points and 5.2 rebounds while shooting 39 percent from three. Sarr counters with 16.8 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 2.4 blocks per game for the Wizards.
Voting is expected to be extremely close, with Risacher's scoring edge competing against Sarr's two-way dominance. The award will be announced during the playoff first round.
